Sweet Continental Salad

Spring/Summer is getting near and it’s about time we need to think about getting rid of all those winter storage on our waist line. The best way to start is with a nice, sweet salad. Try this easy and delicious salad.


1/2 bag Florette Sweet Continental Salad
175g (6oz) asparagus spears
4 slices Parma ham
2 fresh figs, halved
75g (3oz) mozzarella cheese
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
25g (1oz) butter
2 passion fruit

1 Share the Florette Sweet Continental Salad between 2 serving bowls.

2 Cook the asparagus spears in lightly salted boiling water for 4-5 minutes, until just tender. Rinse with cold water, and then drain well. Add to the salad bowls with the slices of Parma ham.

3 Preheat the grill. Arrange the figs on the grill rack, cut side up. Top with slices of mozzarella cheese, and then grill until melted. Add to the salad bowls.

4 Heat the butter gently until melted. Scoop out the pulp and seeds from the passion fruit and add to the warm butter. Spoon over the salads and serve at once, sprinkled with freshly ground black pepper.
